Come in. Ignore the mess. I just made coffee.
That’s basically what this is.
I’m The Jersey Nonna — a warm, slightly cheeky, creative woman from New Jersey who believes life is meant to be lived fully. Gathered around tables. Shared through stories. Expressed through whatever you happen to be making with your hands at the moment.
The Jersey in me is direct, funny, and occasionally opinionated. The Nonna in me is nurturing, generous, and always trying to feed you something.
Together they make me exactly who I am.
What you’ll find here every week:
Kitchen stories and recipes — seasonal, farm stand-driven, built around what’s actually growing right now in the Northeast. Family recipes with the stories behind them. Sunday gravy. Bab’s potato salad. The Jersey Shore crumb buns I spent thirty years trying to recreate. Food that means something.
Nonna Notices Things — short, direct observations about life. Why we stopped using the good dishes. Why everyone is always in such a hurry. Why women my age deserve more fun. The things I notice that I can’t stop thinking about until I write them down.
The gathered home — tablescapes, seasonal decorating, thrifted finds with stories, creating atmosphere on a real budget. Everything that makes a house feel like somewhere people want to be.
Creative living — making things with your hands. Knitting, sewing, needlepoint, seasonal crafts. The joy of a project that has nothing to do with a screen.
Seasonal living — summer porches, Christmas at Nonna’s, Easter tables, autumn traditions. Life organized around the seasons the way it was always meant to be.
I also make:
Free seasonal guides — starting with the Summer Farm Stand Shopping List, six pages of what to buy, when to buy it, and what to do with all of it.
Digital cookbooks — The Summer Table: A Salad Cookbook is the first in a growing seasonal collection.
Nonna’s Table — a quarterly membership delivering a complete seasonal box of exclusive recipes, a lifestyle guide, a craft project, printables, and a members-only essay. Four times a year. Everything you need to live the season fully.
A note on who this is for:
If you believe that Tuesday dinner deserves a set table. That the good dishes should come out more than once a year. That a bag of Jersey tomatoes is one of summer’s great pleasures. That some recipes are worth making the same way every time because they’re already perfect.
Then you’re in the right place.
Sit down. The coffee’s getting cold.
